Brisker ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Brisker mobile application ("App").

Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and neighborhood.

Brisker data: When you post or join a Brisker, we store the Brisker details (date, time, location, notes) and your RSVP status.

Messages and photos: Content you share in Brisker chat threads, including text messages and photos.

Location data: When you choose to share your location in a chat thread, we collect your GPS coordinates. We only access your location when you explicitly tap "Share my location" — we never track your location in the background.

Mileage and goals: Walking distance and goal progress you choose to track.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the App — showing Briskers, managing circles, enabling chat
To send push notifications about Briskers, RSVPs, and messages
To track your mileage goals
To improve the App and fix bugs

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these ways:

With other Brisker users: Your name, profile photo, and neighborhood are visible to other users. Your Briskers, RSVPs, and chat messages are visible to members of the relevant circles or Brisker threads.
Service providers: We use Supabase for data storage and authentication, Expo for app delivery, and Apple for push notifications. These providers process data on our behalf.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.

Circle and Brisker Privacy

Circles are shared groups — all members can see the circle name and other members. When you post a Brisker to specific circles, only members of those circles can see it. Brisker chat threads are visible to the Brisker poster and anyone who has RSVPed.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with row-level security policies. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure storage. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

Your Choices

Profile: You can edit or delete your profile information at any time.
Circles: You can leave any circle at any time.
Location: Location sharing is always optional and only happens when you explicitly tap to share.
Notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device settings.
Email notifications: You can opt into email notifications for new Briskers and circle invites in your notification settings.
Notification preferences: You can manage your notification preferences for push and email in the app under Me > Notification Settings.
Blocking: You can block any user. Blocked users cannot see your Briskers or message you.
Account deletion: You can delete your account and all data directly in the app under Profile > Delete Account.

Children's Privacy

Brisker is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email.
